Judge Mark Fury, the most experienced candidate in the race, is a proven Justice of the Peace with a positive demeanor and record of results. Elected to two terms, he reduced a massive court backlog by more than 70,000 cases while staying current on 55,000 – 60,000 annual new case filings. A tribute to his fairness and good judgment, his appeals rate was one of the lowest among Harris County JP courts. Judge Fury’s Court came to lead the JP Courts in Harris County in total civil case filings. Since litigants and lawyers have some discretion over where to file civil cases, they gravitated toward choosing his court for his fairness and efficiency.

About Mark Fury
Mark Fury brings the experience, judgment, and courtroom management skills required of an effective Justice of the Peace. As a two-term JP, he presided over one of the busiest courts in Harris County, efficiently managing heavy caseloads while ensuring cases were handled fairly, timely, and in accordance with Texas law. His proven ability to reduce backlogs, maintain low appeals rates, and treat all parties with professionalism makes him well-qualified to serve and meet the responsibilities of the office.
